About CBSE
The CBSE, which stands for Central Board of Secondary Education is popularly known for its vibrant, updated and holistic academic school education. The Central Board of Secondary Education has about 20,000 schools affiliated to it. The Board conducts the Secondary Examination and the Higher Secondary Examination for these schools affiliated with it. These schools affiliated with the CBSE board exam follow only the NCERT curriculum.
CBSE Board Evaluation System
The Board strongly follows its evaluation system and has adopted the evaluation process known as CCE, which stands for – Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation which provides continuous evaluation process. This system was adopted in order to allow the candidates appearing to improve their performance by identifying their strengths and weaknesses from the beginning of the academic year to employ suitable remedial measures for enhancing their learning performance.
History of CBSE
The first education board in India was set up in 1921 which was the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education. While, in the year 1929 the government of India set up a joint board which was named initially as “Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana” and in the year 1952 it became officially termed as “Central Board of Secondary Education”

Over the years, the board has obtained about 20,000 schools affiliated with it. The CBSE conducts the secondary examination and the higher secondary examination for these schools affiliated with it. Few of the CBSE Schools are mentioned here:
