Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the online application form for class 10 and 12 private students. The online filling of the application form for CBSE 2021 exam has started from 24th October 2020 and will continue till 11th November 2020. The application will not be accepted after the last date. However, with the late fees, students can fill the application till 21st November 2020. CBSE has extended the last opportunity to fill the private candidate application form 2021. This facility is made available for candidates of previous years who could not fill their examination form as private candidates for examination 2021 for class 10 and 12. The window to fill the private candidate application form will be open from 22nd Feb 2021 (Monday) to 25th Feb 2021 (Thursday) up to 5 PM. CBSE Private Candidate Rules for Class 10 and 12 Form Submission

Before starting to fill the form, students must check the eligibility criteria, documents required for filling up the application form and fees payment method.

Eligibility to Apply as Private Candidate for Class 10 and 12

Students can fill the private candidate application form if they belong to any one of the following categories:

  1. Candidates who have been declared ESSENTIAL REPEAT in 2020.
  2. Candidates who have been placed in COMPARTMENT in Main–2020 examinations.
  3. Candidates who have been placed in COMPARTMENT in September 2020.
  4. Candidates who have been declared FAIL in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019.
  5. Pass out candidates of 2020 who wish to appear for improving their performance in one or more subjects.
  6. Pass out candidates of 2015 or after who wish to appear in an Additional subject.
  7. Women candidate who is a bonafide resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and has attained the age for appearing in Class X.
  8. Physically Handicapped candidates who are bonafide resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and has attained the age for appearing in Class X on producing reasonable evidence of having difficulty to attend normal institutions.

How to Fill CBSE Online Application Form for Private Candidate

Here we have provided a step by step procedure of filling up the online CBSE Private Candidate application form 2021.

Step 1: Visit the official site of the CBSE board.

Step 2: Click on the link that says “Submission of Examination Forms by Online Private Candidates for Examinations – 2021” or visit the link (https://cbseit.in/cbse/web/pvtform/).

Step 3: Click on the relevant section and fill the application form.

Step 4: Upload a recent coloured photo of high quality.

Step 5: Pay application fees through digital mode.

The details to be filled under each category in the application form are mentioned below:

1) Candidates appearing under Category – Fail / Essential Repeat/ Compartment / Improvement of Performance

  • Students who have appeared in the board exam of 2020, their details such as Candidate’s Name, Father’s/Guardian’s name, Mother’s name, etc will get auto-generated in the online system. However, students of 2019 exam (or before) have to fill in the details on the online application form.
  • Fill the details like Roll number, School number, and Centre number correctly as per the marksheet.
  • Student will have to appear for the practical examination irrespective of the fact whether he/she has passed in the previous examination.

2) Candidate appearing under Category – Fresh Female/Physically Handicapped

  • Students have to choose the subjects as per the drop down list.
  • In subjects which have internal assessment, the theory marks will be converted to be out of 100 marks through computer programming.

3) For those appearing under Category – Additional Subject

  • Students have to choose any one subject from the list of subjects mentioned in Annexure 5 of the notification, which was not taken earlier.
  • In subjects which have internal assessment, the theory marks will be converted to be out of 100 marks through computer programming.

The admit card for the CBSE Private Candidates of Class 10 and 12 will be released in the month of February 2021. Once the link is made available in the official CBSE website, students can easily download the admit card.
