CAT Exam is one of the most preferred MBA entrance exams and the most competitive one also. The exam is taken by around 2.5 lakh MBA aspirants every year from all across the nation. The CAT scores are considered to shortlist candidates for further rounds (WAT and PI) by all the 20 IIMs. Apart from the IIMs, the CAT score is also accepted by several other top MBA colleges in India and abroad.
Exam Details for CAT
The Common Admission Test or the CAT is conducted by IIMs on a rotational basis across different tests centres. The exam includes 100 questions spread across 3 sections which are quantitative aptitude, verbal ability & reading comprehension, and logical reasoning & data interpretation. It should be noted that there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect attempt (only for MCQ types).
