Credit Rating of Urban Local Bodies gain Momentum
- 94 of the 500 cities included in Smart City Mission and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) have obtained the credit ratings
- the rating is necessary for issuing Municipal Bonds for mobilization of resources
- Credit Ratings are assigned based on assets and liabilities of Urban Local Bodies, revenue streams, resources available for capital investments, Double Entry Accounting practice and other governance practices
De-Induction of TU 142M
- TU142M Long Range Maritime Patrol aircraft was inducted into Indian Navy at Dabolim Goa from erstwhile USSR in 1988
- The Indian Navy is preparing for de-induction of TU142M Long Range Maritime Patrol aircraft after its 29 years of dedicated service to the nation
- The aircraft subsequently shifted base permanently to INS Rajali in 1992
- The role of TU142M will now be taken on by the newly inducted P-8l aircraft
Initiatives to combat TBÂ launched

- A new anti-TB drug Bedaquiline has been introduced under Conditional Access Programme (CAP) to improve outcomes of drug resistant TB treatment
