About ASSOCHAM:

• The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is one of the apex trade associations of India.
• The organisation represents the interests of trade and commerce in India, and acts as an interface between issues and initiatives.
• The goal of the organisation is to promote domestic and international trade.
• It was established in 1920.

2. Shaheedi Diwas of Guru Tegh Bahadur

Context:

PM greets people on the Shaheedi Diwas (martyrdom day) of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur.

3. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Telecom Skill Excellence Awards

Context:

Union Minister presents Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Telecom Skill Excellence Awards.

About Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Telecom Skill Excellence Awards:

• The Awards were instituted by the Department of Telecommunications in 2017 to motivate the telecom skill ecosystem.
• It rewards successful telecom skilled people for their special contributions in the areas of Telecom Skilling, Telecom Services, Telecom Manufacturing, Telecom Applications in deploying telecom dependent sectoral solutions for different fields such as agriculture, commerce, health, education, etc.
• The award was named after Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay to commemorate his birth centenary.
