About the Maharashtra SSC Board
The Maharashtra SSC Board conducts SSC exams every year that the candidates need to pass, before pursuing higher education in their preferred streams. The SSC exam is very crucial for students. Schools and colleges take the pass percentage from the Maharashtra Board SSC Result into consideration before granting them admission for higher education.
The MSBSHSE Class 10 syllabus consists of various subjects like Mathematics, Social Science, Science, Arts and languages. Students are required to score a minimum of 35% (including theory and practical) to pass the SSC examination. Every year, over 1.7 million candidates appear for the Maharashtra SSC Board from all across the state.
The Maharashtra SSC Board Exams are to be held in two shifts this year. The morning shift will be conducted from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, and the second shift will start from 3:00 pm and continue till 6:30 pm. Contrary to the previous years, this year, students get an extra 30 minutes to write the exam. This decision to extend the exam duration has been taken to accommodate the writing speed and accuracy of students, which has reduced due to online classes.

- Total Number of Students: With the increase in the number of student enrolments every year, the Maharashtra SSC exam has become extremely competitive at present. The total number of students had notably increased in 2017, following which it again showed a declining trend, and reached a minimum in 2020. - Overall Passing Percentage: The performance of students in SSC Maharashtra has always been noteworthy with a high pass percentage. In 2015, the pass percentage was excellent, with 91.46%. But the following year, it decreased to 89.41%. The percentage showed a remarkable increase in 2020, when 95.3% of the students who appeared for the exam passed. This trend followed in 2021 and 99.95% of the students who appeared for the 10th SSC exams successfully cleared the exam. Below is a year-wise comparison of the pass percentage of the students.

Maharashtra SSC Board Exam and Results
MSBSHSE or the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education conducts the SSC exam every year for the students of Class 10. Maharashtra SSC Board Exam 2021 Result Highlights
For the exams conducted in 2021, the Maharashtra SSC Board 2021 Results were published on July 16, 2021. This year, the pass percentage saw a significant increase from the previous year. A total of 15,75,752 students appeared for the 10th exams this year and 99.95% of the students passed the exam. This year too, the girls outshone the boys, with 99.96% girls and 99.94% boys successfully passing the examination.
In 2020, the SSC board examinations were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The candidates were awarded marks on an alternative criteria based on the 50:50 rule. 50% of the marks were taken from the internal assessments, home-work, year long assessments or practical exams for Class 10, and the other 50% marks were taken from the students’ Class 9 marks.
