NEET is a single level entrance exam, enabling students to take up admissions to medical courses across the country. NTA conducts NEET, the test is set to take place on 17th July 2022. This test is carried out in the offline mode granting admissions to MBBS, BDS, and also AYUSH courses now in addition to 15% seats in Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences. When I was to submit my application form, my session was displayed as expired when I tried to submit it consequently the form was left unsubmitted. What to do? | Candidates must ensure that they submit the application form within a maximum time span of 30 minutes as the session expires immediately after 30 minutes. Should I upload a photo with white background, date, and name at the bottom? | Previously it was compulsory to upload a passport size photo with a white background along with the date and name at the bottom of the picture. The latest official notification on the same indicates that officials have declared that photos without a name and date would also work. The photographs need not be attested.

Can I draw out my NEET application form and hence candidature? Would I get a refund? | Application once submitted cannot be drawn out. The application fee is not refundable. |
NEET FAQs – Correction Window

Which fields can be edited in the correction window? | NTA provides the correction window facility once the application form filling concludes. Can class 12 qualifying code be edited in the NEET application form? | Yes, the qualifying code can be edited. Login credentials should be used for the same |
Can I change/update my photograph through the correction window? | Those candidates who have uploaded a blurry image will be informed through mail to upload a clear image as per the specifications laid down by the NTA. Will my application be rejected if I upload an image with no name and a white background? | Officials have issued a notice that photos without a name, date or white background will not be rejected. However, one must ensure to follow the specifications provided for uploading photographs beforehand to avoid any discrepancy. |
In the application form, can the address be changed? | The address can be edited through the NEET correction window facility. One must use login credentials to make this change |

NEET FAQs – Answer Key

Are there any differences between the answer key released by coaching institutes and the official set of answer keys? | Yes, there is a difference. The official set of answer keys is released by the NTA whereas the ones released by coaching institutes may not be as accurate as the official ones. These answer keys are released by coaching institutes just so students get an approximate score. However, these cannot be considered the final ones. The officially released Answer keys are treated as authentic and the final ones. Based on this results are announced. |
I obtained a certain rank as per the answer key released by a coaching institute. How accurate is the rank? | One needs to ensure not to consider these as the final ranks/scores. This is just for one to get an idea, an approximate figure. Candidates must wait until the final set of answer keys is released officially by the NTA. In any case of discrepancy after the official set of answer keys is released, you can then challenge the question. The claim for each question is Rs.200/-

In NEET 2022, would I get extra marks on controversial questions, post the official set of answer key is released? | Once the official set of answer keys has been released, depending on the objections made by candidates, in case of any discrepancy, one can challenge the question. |
Can we challenge the response against OMR grading? | Yes, candidates will be provided with a chance to challenge the OMR sheet and NEET UG Answer key 2022.
Applicants will be given an opportunity to submit representation against the OMR grading by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per question challenged. Candidates will be given an opportunity to make an online challenge against the provisional Answer Key by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹ 200/- per answer challenged, within a specified period. Once challenged, responses are verified by NTA, if found correct, the answer key shall undergo a revision, thus the preparation of the revised set of answer keys leads to the declaration of results. NEET FAQs – Result

What is percentile rank? | The percentile rank is the percentage of candidates one has scored more than.
Example – For a candidate belonging to the General category, the minimum qualifying percentile is 50th percentile. It simply means that the candidate in this category should score marks higher than at least 50% of the total number of candidates appearing for the test. It can be calculated as provided below: Formula based on score: Your score * 100/topper’s marks Formula based on rank: Total number of candidates – rank/total number of candidates * 100 |
Does NTA release the NEET result 2022 and state merit list together? | No. Only the NEET results will be announced. State merit list will not be released on the day of the result declaration. Candidates selected under the 15% AIQ category are eligible to take part in the counselling process. The state counselling officials use NEET scores to generate the state merit list for candidates seeking admissions under the 85% state quota. Basis the merit rank in the state rank list, admissions will be allowed to the medical institutes. |
What to do if my NEET result 2022 does not get me admission to a good medical college? Not willing to drop a year one more time. | If this is the case, you can still wait for the state merit list to be released. But you have to apply for 85% state quota seats if you are domicile of that state.
This is why, during mock tests, candidates are recommended to drop a year, and attempt next time aiming for higher than 580-600 marks. As dropping a year is a harder decision, students will be motivated to perform well in exams, serving as a push. |
How is NEET score card different from NEET rank letter? | NEET scorecard is the candidate’s result scheduled to be announced soon, having the following details:

How will NEET cut off 2022 be decided? | Once the results are released, the NEET cut-off will also be announced. The cut-off will be decided basis of these aspects – the total number of candidates appearing for exams, level of difficulty of exams, availability of seats under each category, and institutes. |
What is the expected cut-off for NEET 2022? | NEET cut-off is determined by the factors mentioned above, which can be decided only after the exam takes place. Once the exam concludes, the experts at various coaching institutes compose cut-off for NEET-UG and release as available. Again, students must wait for official declaration of NEET 2022 Cut-off before concluding. |
