The Staff Selection Commission will conduct the SSC CHSL 2022 exams in the following stages
- Tier I – Objective Multiple Choice Paper
- Tier-II – Descriptive Paper
- Tier III – Skill Test / Computer Proficiency Test applicable to a few select posts

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHSL Age Limit
The SSC CHSL age limit for the posts has been set at a minimum 18 years and a maximum of 27 years as on 1st of February 2022, i.e. candidates born not before 2nd January 1995 and not later than 1st January 2004 are eligible to apply for the SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam.

SSC CHSL candidates must satisfy the given nationality criteria in order to attempt the exam:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st of January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India
- A person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
