NEET 2020 Application Process To End Today

NTA (National Testing Agency), the regulatory board for NEET 2020 exams to close the process of application-form-filling today i.e., 9th February 2020. The board, in view of receiving an overwhelming number of requests from NEET applicants stating various discrepancies, decided to re-open the portal for fee payment of the application form and hence complete the steps in the application process for the convenience of students. This option was available only for the candidates who had already registered for the exam.

The candidates who wish to appear for NEET 2020 exams, scheduled to be conducted on 3rd May 2020 should redeem this last opportunity rendered by the board. The action can be completed until 11:50 pm (9th February 2020), post which the portal will be closed. The window for payment of the fee for the application form was re-opened on 3rd February 2020 and was stated to close on 9th February 2020 at 11:50 pm. The portal is active only for those candidates who were successful in completing the step I of the application process to proceed with step II, III and IV of form-filling, document-uploading of fee payment and hence the confirmation page.

The NTA released an official notice on 1st February 2020 stating that it decided to re-open the application form process portal for one last time, active until 9th February 2020 (up till 11:50 pm) as it received innumerable requests from registered candidates as a result of incompleteness towards form filling for NEET 2020 exams. Please note that this is the last opportunity for NEET candidates to complete their application process, hence should be made taken seriously.

How To Fill The NEET 2020 Application Form?

Given below is a breakdown of steps to fill the application form.

Candidates who were successful in completing the step I are necessitated to complete their application process through these steps:

Step II: Filling up the NEET application form 2020

Candidates are required to fill these details mentioned below in the application form:

  • Personal details
  • Birthplace
  • One choice of examination centre (only one)
  • Preferred language of the question paper
  • Academic information from classes 10, 11 and 12

Step III: Uploading scanned documents and images

Applicants must upload these documents with the mentioned specifications as part of this step.

Step IV: Payment of NEET 2020 Application fee

Candidates, after completing all the steps, until step III are required to pay the fee through the online mode. This can be done through Credit/Debit/Net Banking and UPI (Unified Payment Interface) using the State Bank of India/Syndicate Bank/HDFC Bank/ICICI Bank/Paytm mode. Candidates are suggested to maintain proof of payment such as the transaction receipt/ID, from the online payment safe till the admission is concluded.

The application fee for different categories is as follows:

SC/ST/PwD/Transgender 800 rupees only
  • GST (Goods and Service Tax) and processing charges are to be paid by the candidate as applicable.
  • *OBC-NCL (Other Backward Classes)-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central List of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes. The candidates falling in this list may mention OBC-NCL in the Category Column. State list OBC-NCL candidates who are not in OBC-NCL (Central List) must select General.

The exam is all set to be conducted on 3rd May 2020 across the country. NEET Admit card of all the successfully registered candidates shall be made available on the official website to download from 27th March 2020 onwards.
