What is the full form of CA?

The full form of CA is the Chartered Accountant. The Indian CAs are regulated by the ICAI, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. More than 2.70 000 CAs currently operate in India. They work in all sectors of business and finance and primary responsibilities include financial and general management, taxation, accounting and auditing. Individuals can have their private practice. Few are also hired in government-owned companies and private organizations.

Eligibility Criteria Of Chartered Accountant

Candidates who intend to apply for CA would have enrolled with ICAI for the CPC course. Only registered applicants qualify for the CA examination. The CA eligibility requirements are as follows.

  • Applicants must have completed their 10th and 12th level qualification exam from a recognized education board or similar examination.
  • Candidates who have received a bachelor’s or master’s degree in commerce with scores of at least 55 per cent are eligible to take part in the CA CPT examination.
  • Applicants with a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a non-commerce stream must have at least 60 per cent scores in the sum of all subjects are also exempted from participating in the entry-level exam.
  • After completing the CA foundation course, an applicant must serve as an Article Assistant for three years before becoming qualified for the CA final examination.
